About Dr Nena
Dr Nena Deskoulidi is a double board-certified Specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon from Panhellenic Medical Association and from the European Board of Plastic Surgery (FEBOPRAS). She completed her medical degree in National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and also completed a Master’s degree in Surgical Anatomy.
Whether a procedure is a reconstructive procedure or aesthetic procedure, the principles of her practice are the same; and that is to treat each patient as she would like to be treated.
As part of her quest for continuous excellence, she even completed an esteemed plastic surgery fellowship in Sydney, Australia , specializing close to two years at St.Vincent’s University hospital in Sydney and other Private Hospitals in the Greater Sydney area of Australia under RACS college in aesthetic surgery of the face ( especially blepharoplasty, facelift, liplift and gummy smile correction), breast and body. Specialized also in microsurgery autologous breast reconstruction (DIEP flap), head and neck and lower limb reconstruction. Due to her training in Australia, a Country that retains the world’s highest skin cancer rates, She performed thousands of moles and skin cancer excisions with excellent results and remains an expert in complex skin cancer excision and reconstruction of the face, head and neck with great results and minimal scarring. She finds that these two components in her practice complement each other and optimise patient outcomes.

“Another highlight was when she performed the first ALT free flap at KAT hospital of Athens in 2023 for head and neck reconstruction. As this procedure had never been previously executed by anyone at KAT hospital, She had the opportunity to plan this ground breaking surgery, performed the operation and most importantly, the patient successfully survived the difficult procedure post operatively.”
Dr.Nena Deskoulidi reminds us that when considering any plastic surgery procedure, one must always have realistic expectations. She also reminds us that it is an important part of her role as a plastic surgeon, to give the patient realistic expectations and advice on how to achieve the best outcome with harmony. She always believes in embracing the ethos of natural results in every patient.
“Choose a surgeon who has good training and is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon, not just a surgeon who has had no formal plastic surgery training. Choose a surgeon who you can trust and who you think has your best interest at heart.”
Outside of the operating room, She is involved in teaching future plastic surgeons and research. She frequently attends national and international conferences to ensure She is up to date with the most recent techniques and technological advances in the field.
